As a business, Stones Group Bath made the decision from the outset to invest in its own fleet of plant, machinery, tools and vehicles to avoid relying on external suppliers in the course of our work.

Hiring from third parties is both expensive and highly inefficient, which can lead to inflated costs and time delays on site, so investing in our own equipment avoids both of these eventualities to the considerable benefit of our clients. This philosophy evolved into the formation of Stones Plant, which is a dedicated division committed to purchasing, maintaining, storing and renting out our fleet.

Our range extends to heavy-duty machinery, including diggers, excavators and dumpers, to specialist tools, including compactors, drills and saws, plus an extensive site protection and access collection that includes fences, barriers and towers. All of these items are maintained on an ongoing basis by our qualified and experienced engineers.

A natural consequence of owning our own plant is that our team are qualified and experienced to use them efficiently and safely. We are committed to investing in a range of qualifications for our staff, including digger driver, forward-tipping dumper and excavator training to ensure complete site safety and worker protection at all times.
