Facilities management (FM) is defined as a service that supports the maintenance of buildings and equipment and covers a multitude of skills and disciplines.
Ultimately, FM is primarily focused on making sure any given site or property is properly maintained to provide a comfortable, functional, efficient and cost-effective working or residential environment. With this in mind, Stones Facilities Management has been created to deliver these strategic, long-term and affordable objectives by harnessing the skills of our multi-disciplinary and integrated team.
By its very nature, work undertaken by Stones Facilities Management is varied both in terms of scope and scale and ranges from large commercial projects to small residential maintenance jobs. We recently completed a vast project where we replaced all the exterior doors and windows on a large public sector 52-home housing estate, which was completed successfully. The project was extended to include replacing all the bathrooms in thirty-two properties, which were also completed both on time and within budget.
We also upgraded the facilities at a church in Bath, where the project included installing outside lighting, perimeter fencing, replacing paving slabs, adding signage and improving the building's data and wi-fi capabilities. We are also constantly working on a vast list of domestic maintenance projects which includes all facets of plumbing, electrical, painting and decorating, landscaping, bricklaying and security.
