ENHANCING BUILDINGS & LANDSCAPES

This section of the site features various projects completed by the Stones Group over the past year or so. Each project includes ‘Before' and ‘After' galleries of images illustrating the progress of each project from commencement to completion often highlighting the seismic transformation of many properties.

Quite apart from adhering to its responsibilities entrusted to the Stones Group by clients, it is satisfying to reflect upon the fact that the company is actively improving the very architectural fabric of Bath, Bristol and the surrounding areas. Many of the projects undertaken by the Group involve the complete refurbishment of centrally located properties that have fallen into a wanton state of disrepair which in itself is bewildering.

Bath and Bristol, in particular, have a rich architectural heritage that should be respected with sympathetic renovations and continuous maintenance programmes. Sadly, and as you can see by many of the ‘Before' galleries, neither of these statements have been upheld by a succession of property owners for whatever reason. Completed projects at 39 Gay Street and Grove Street in Bath inspire a special sense of pride as once beautiful Georgian properties have been restored to their former glory albeit with a different commercial purpose.
