Formerly an Italian restaurant, the building was acquired by the Thirsty Meeples brand and converted into their second board game café.
Located in the heart of the Bath just off the prestigious Queen Square, the two-floor building was left in a state of considerable disrepair and required a complete renovation including a new roof to the rear.
Stones Group were appointed as sole contractors for the project which included stripping out the existing fixtures and fittings, reinsulating the walls and rewiring the electrical networks. Once the site was clear and the first fix completed, the team embarked on the comprehensive fit-out phase which included new floors, refurbishing staircases and adding contemporary lighting, plus a total redecoration throughout.
The eight-week project was completed both on time and within budget and successfully restored this elegant Georgian building in accord with one of Bath's most delightful of areas. Thirsty Meeples is now trading and is a welcome addition to Bath's café culture.
